Our experts simulate user experience using props and mock-ups and enlist the assistance of HFE/ID professionals and domain experts to facilitate a risk managed approach to usability, safety, and efficacy that follow ISO 62366 and FDA HFE guidance. Usability Hazard Analysis becomes an integral part of the process. The diagram below shows the Hazard Analysis approach:
  • Early in the development cycle, using simulated formative study, we address hazards allowing for Ux development to proceed with very few unknowns. Findings from the studies augments the design, leading to a robust, risk reduced product.
  • The HFE/ID team continue to support the development team and later in the validation phase manage and participate in summative Studies.
  • Definitions:
Formative Study: Formative studies are conducted during the development process in order to understand user behavior, diagnose specific problems, and improve design.
  • Summative Study: Summative or Quantitative studies are performed when the product is completed and launched in the market.
